Shea Group Committees

Steering Committee:  Works to coordinate the activities of the Shea Group.  Members interact with the working committees to ensure active participation, relevant output and provide manpower/idea support as needed.  Provides any needed governance, including the treasury function, agendas for meetings and strategies for Shea's direction.  Members act as overall facilitators for group functions. Membership Committee:  Maintains the membership standards of the Shea Group and updates them as required.  Participates in the selection process and vets each prospective member prior to extending invitations to attend meetings.  Make recommendations to group regarding membership. Committee Chair Karen Cawley

Programs/Speakers/Education Committee:  Provides oversight and direction for this vital function.  Solicits input from group as to topics for future meetings and communicates consensus to the group.  Works with individual members to ensure a steady stream of speakers and member-led seminars.  Maintains a calendar of events for the Shea Group site.  Maintains the unique biography lists that are sent to speakers. External Activities Committee:  Actively seeks opportunities for the Shea Group to participate in community activities such as career coaching, business development and advisory/mentoring opportunities.  Encourages group members to provide input and participate in activities selected. Committee Chair Gayle Pincus

Information Technology Committee:  Maintains the Group web site, including members-only area.  Provides training to new members to ensure familiarity with the Group’s IT platform.  Assigns e-mail accounts and manages password access to proprietary information. Committee Chair David Barnes
